- Feeling different – not having a place to belonging.

- Loneliness – feeling a sense of isolation.
- Ambiguity – what does success mean and look like? SMART goals

- Cultural differences – deeply ingrained beliefs, social constructs etc. that can be misunderstood in the new culture
